A meticulous approach to enduring charm
Since launching her inaugural interior design company, Lisa has built a strong presence in the region through creating environments that possess an enduring charm. Her signature style blends sleek modern furniture with elegant vintage pieces to craft spaces that exude a sense of individuality rather than mere embellishment. Lisa's meticulous approach, which she regards as essential to achieving a polished space, guarantees that her interiors are not only aesthetically pleasing but also cozy and welcoming. By skillfully incorporating a refined color scheme and highlighting diverse textures and surfaces, Lisa introduces a contemporary flair to her designs which is at the heart of SummerHouse.
From Fondren to Ridgeland and Oxford
Originally, SummerHouse was located in the historic Fondren district of Jackson, MS. However, Lisa's dream was put on hold when her store was tragically destroyed by fire in 2005. Undeterred by this setback, Lisa displayed resilience and determination by reopening SummerHouse in a new and larger location in 2006, situated in Ridgeland, MS.
The showroom boasts a bright, light filled space that serves as a mecca of streamlined comfort, spread over an impressive 7,000 square feet of luxe home furnishings and accessories. One can experience a curated collection of artworks by renowned Southern artists that add character to the ambiance.
Building on this success, a second location was established in Oxford, MS in 2016. This site, located on the historic square, offers a renovated space with exposed brick and white washed rafters and beams, embodying a blend of history and contemporary design.
At SummerHouse, Lisa leads a dedicated team of 23 individuals, including 7 interior designers and support staff. Collaborating seamlessly, they have undertaken numerous commercial and residential projects nationally, achieving recognition in esteemed trade publications such as Milieu Magazine, House Beautiful, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Southern Home, Flower Magazine, and Traditional Home, most notably securing a cover feature.
